The weight displayed on your bathroom scale does not mean
much when you consider the following:

. 60% of total body mass is water weight.

. Water retention is influenced by water consumption and
salt intake.

. The less water you drink the more water you retain.

. Sodium is a sneaky substance. One half cup of instant
pudding has 4 times the sodium of salted nuts (460mg vs.
123mg).

. The greater the processing the greater the sodium
content. Read labels, canned foods, boxed mixes and frozen
dinners are usually very HIGH in sodium while fruits,
vegetables, lean meats and beans are very LOW.

. Glycogen is the fuel tank of stored carbohydrate in the
liver and muscle tissue. Glycogen stores can fluctuate your
weight by 4-5 pounds without changing your amount of body
fat.

. There are 3500 calories contained in ONE POUND of fat. So
it is therefore impossible to gain 5 pounds (17,500
calories) from one meal. When the scale goes up 3-4 pounds

The 12 Most Toxic Fruits and Vegetables

Known as the Dirty Dozen, conventionally grown peaches,
apples, sweet bell peppers, celery, nectarines,
strawberries, cherries, pears, imported grapes, spinach,
lettuce and potatoes contain the highest levels of
pesticides, according to the Environmental Work Group
(EWG), a nonprofit research organization in Washington, D.C.

Up to 20 different pesticides are used in the traditional
production of the Dirty Dozen and contrary to popular
belief, simply washing or peeling your fruits and
vegetables doesn't guarantee elimination. The pesticides
used are often absorbed into the plants, which allows them
to bind to the fruits and vegetables, making it impossible
to eliminate their presence.

The chemicals within these pesticides are reported to
disrupt your immune system, nervous system, reproductive
system and hormonal system.

While washing and rinsing fresh produce may reduce some
pesticides, it does not eliminate them. Peeling also helps
remove some of the pesticides, but valuable nutrients often
go down the drain with the peel.

Because the toxic effects of pesticides are worrisome, not
well understood, or in some cases completely unstudied,
shoppers are wise to minimize exposure to pesticides
whenever possible.

Consumers who switch to organic versions of these foods
could cut their pesticide exposure by almost 90 percent,
according to EWG. It analyzed nearly 43,000 tests conducted
by the Department of Agriculture and the Food and Drug
Administration between 2000 and 2004.

the average American consumes one pound of these toxic

information and these risks can be easily and effectively

Anxiety and Panic Attacks

Anxiety and Panic Attacks More common than bipolar
disorder, OCD schizophrenia, ADHD, PTSD, phobias, alcohol
abuse or depression are Anxiety and Panic Attacks.

Anxiety

Anxiety is a compound blend of the feeling of fear and
worry often associated with physical sensations such as
palpitations, chest pain, shortness of breath and excessive
sweating. It may exist primarily as a brain disorder or
could even be related with other medical problems including
other psychiatric disorders. Also, you may be experiencing

Certain practices may increase your risk of generalized
anxiety disorder. If you feel you might be a victim of

Panic Attacks

Although most people imagine anxiety and panic attacks go
hand and hand, having a panic attack is a great deal more
serious occurrence. Where as having anxiety is feeling
stressed out in a way, having a panic attack usually starts
out the same way. One may feel they are having a minor
anxiety attack about an event that may be taking place when
all sudden it escalates into an overwhelming feeling
without any obvious reason.

About 33% of American adults have at least one panic
attack. Whereas most of these adults never develop repeated
panic attacks, some with more serious cases my experience
more attacks throughout their life and should seek medical
attention.

Some of the symptoms of an anxiety attack such as feeling
stress full, chest pains, shortness of breath and excessive
sweating, panic attacks will start to develop more serious
signs such as Dreamlike atmosphere, something unimaginably
horrible is about to occur, terror of losing control and
doing something embarrassing, and even the fear of dying.

Anxiety and Panic Attacks Treatment

If you feel you are a victim to anxiety attacks or panic
attacks, you need to seek help in the early stages before
it escalates into a serious case. In some cases where the
patient prolongs their much needed help for this disorder,
they tend to decline in other areas in their life such as
